This page describes what information is collected from you, how it’s used, and my commitment to ensuring your information is protected. All information you choose to share with WilsonLo.ca will be used in accordance to the privacy policy below. WilsonLo.ca refers to this website and its pages.
By choosing to enter your information to any of WilsonLo.ca’s webforms, you consent to that information being used by the Wilson Lo campaign for the purposes of contact, sign distribution, and campaign updates distribution, among others. Where applicable, each webform displays the type of information it collects in every entry field, such as your name, email, and address.
All information is collected through manual entry by the user. There is no automatic information collection used by this website (we don’t have that skillset). Your information will be used by the campaign only, will not be shared with a third party, and will be discarded when it is no longer needed by the campaign.
Users who subscribed for the campaign newsletter and no longer wish to receive updates may unsubscribe here or by using the link located at the end of each newsletter.
WordPress, WilsonLo.ca’s host, may collect non-identifying information about your visit for analytical purposes. Read WordPress’s privacy policy here.
For a donation receipt to be issued, all contributors must provide their full name and email address in the donation form on the donation page. Contributions of 100$ or greater must include a home address in the comment field of the module for the purposes of record-keeping satisfying the Municipal Elections Act, 1996. Information provided by the contributor will never be shared outside the requirements of the Municipal Elections Act by the campaign.
Personal information collected in the donation form is obtained under the authority of sections 88.25 and 95 of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996. Under section 88 of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 (and despite anything in the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act), documents and materials filed with or prepared by the City Clerk or any other election official under the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 are public records and, until their destruction, may be inspected by any person at the Clerk’s office at a time when the office is open. Campaign financial statements shall also be made available by the Clerk in an electronic format free of charge upon request.
Credit card information you choose to enter in the donation module is managed securely through Stripe. Nobody on the Wilson Lo campaign has access to any information entered to the payment section of the donation form. Campaign contributions are also accepted via e-transfer.
All payment information is SSL encrypted.
WilsonLo.ca has an SSL certificate through its host, WordPress. Information collected through this website is securely transferred to and stored in an email exchange server or in a cloud-based folder.
Users who prefer to a different method of sharing their information may do so by emailing info@wilsonlo.ca.
